Oxford
-
We leave London and travel through the Chiltern
Hills to Oxford - the 'City of Dreaming Spires',
its origins go back 1000 years and its streets are
dominated by the stone walls of the colleges. Our
tour takes us through some of the university
buildings, where your guide will tell you of famous
past students and the traditions of college life
that endure to this day.
Stratford-upon-Avon
- Although famous as Shakespeare's birthplace,
Stratford is a charming market town in its own
right where mellowed buildings, many half timbered,
line broad streets. We visit Shakespeare's
birthplace which gives a fascinating insight into
life as it was when Shakespeare was a
child.
Warwick
Castle
-
With its magnificent medieval Towers and Ramparts,
Warwick Castle offers visitors over 1000 years of
English history. The chilling dungeon contrasts
with the elegant splendour of the State Rooms,
baronial Great Hall and the Victorian 'Royal
Weekend Party 1898'. Visitors can experience the
sights and sounds of mediaeval life in the
'Kingmaker' exhibition. All set in 60 acres of
English grounds and gardens.
We
also offer an overnight Tour including Stratford -
