Train
departs from London St Pancras Station bound for
Chesterfield. (First Class Plus passengers can
enjoy their Great British Breakfast on board.) Upon
arrival at Chesterfield, there will be a luxury
coach waiting to take you to Chatsworth, the
magnificent 17th century home of the Duke and
Duchess of Devonshire, on the beautiful River
Derwent in 1000 acres of gardens and parkland,
landscaped by Lancelot 'Capability'
Brown.
Over
30 of the grandest rooms in the house are open to
visitors displaying magnificent paintings,
furniture, sculptures, silver, porcelain and an
outstanding library.
Maybe
explore the garden with its rare trees, rose
gardens, temples, fountains, streams and ponds. At
16:30 rejoin the coach for your return journey to
Chesterfield.
Your
train departs at 17:37 and you arrive back in
London St. Pancras at 18:45 hrs.
