3 Day Highland Chill Out - Only £89 GBP

As the name suggests, this 3 day Scottish Highland tour is more focused on taking it easy, doing more sightseeing. A little bit of walking is involved, which is well worth it to see some of Scotland’s hidden gems and enhance your Highland experience. In addition we go to the main attractions such as Loch Ness,Glen Coe and Stirling. The emphasis is on relaxing, unwinding and a bit of escapism from your normal life.

Day 1
We head North out of Scotland’s capital city over the Firth of Forth to our first stop at the beautiful Dollar Glen. You will enjoy a relaxing walk around the glen and relish the breathtaking views of Castle Campbell. After a tea/coffee break we head to St Andrews to take in its history and have lunch in this historic Scottish town. On the road again we head West and further North crossing the Highland line stopping next at the beautifully located and picturesque village of Dunkeld. We take a short walk to Dunkeld Cathedral and take the opportunity to chill out in the grounds. As we head deeper into the Highlands up through Strath Brann and the Sma Glen we stop just outside the town of Aberfeldy and go for our 2nd walk of the day (optional) around the Birks o Aberfeldy. Passing Aberfeldy we make our way to the banks of Loch Tay to stop for more chilling time and enjoy the grand scenery this location has to offer. On our way to our final stop of the day, Pitlochry, we pass by Fortingal to see what is believed to be the oldest living organism in Europe the Fortingal Yew Tree, heading further North passing Schiehallion (faerie hill of the Caledonians) and stopping briefly at the Queens View with beautiful views down Loch Tummel, then Pitlochry for the night.

Day 2
We head North out of the Pitlochry stopping to view and photograph the pass of Killiecrankie then its off for our 1st walk at the Falls of Bruar. As we head North we stop at Ruthven Barracks and Lunch at Aviemore before taking in some ancient burial cairns and walking around the Battlefield of Culloden learning all about the build up, battle and aftermath of the battle that changed the course of history in the Highlands forever. Then we head into the Great Glen stopping on the banks of Loch Ness allowing you to chill out, relax and for those brave enough a bit of swimming. Heading down the South side of the Loch we stop at Inverfarigaig for a short walk up to an elevated view point giving you great loch views we then make our way to our final resting place for the day Gairlochy. Staying at the beautifully located Dalmacomer Bunk house sitting peacefully on the shores of Loch Lochy.

Day 3
On leaving and bidding a fine farewell we head to romantic Glen Nevis for a beautiful walk up to Steele falls. We leave the great glen and travel down a little bit of the west coast of Scotland before heading back inland stopping to admire and take in the atmosphere of Glen Coe hearing all about the history attached to this superb place. Leaving Glen Coe we cross Rannoch Moor stopping in Glen Orchy before having lunch at the Drovers Inn. As we make our way back to Edinburgh we pass through Rob Roy Macgregor country and Stop at Stirling hearing the true story of William Wallace, King Robert the Bruce and the true legend of Braveheart. Arrival back in Edinburgh 6.00pm approximately.
